Modafinil Addiction

Modafinil Addiction: Symptoms and Treatment

Find out effective ways to beat dependence on Modafinil. Learn about the signs and symptoms as well as the reasons.

What is Modafinil?

Modafinil is a eugeroic nootropic medicine, having Central Nervous System (CNS) stimulant properties. It is most commonly used to boost alertness and mental focus and fight fatigue. While it is less potent than amphetamine, Modafinil has the same effects as other stimulants.

Modafinil is sold under several name brands: Provigil and Alertec (in countries with English as in those in the UK, Canada, and the US), Modiodal (France and Japan), Modasomil (Switzerland)

How is Modafinil (Alertec Modavigil Provigil) used for?

Modafinil is a drug that is used to treat sleep disorders like shift work disorder, narcolepsy, and obstructive sleep apnea and also for treating excessive fatigue that is associated with other ailments like cancer, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease.

Modafinil is well-liked by professionals and student students as a “smart drug” and mental performance-enhancing drug. This is all off-label use because medical research on Modafinil’s effects cannot provide evidence for any particular cognitive enhancement quality or stimulant’s capacity to improve concentration, even at low levels.

Modafinil without a doctor’s prescription can be dangerous and could result in physical and psychological dependence.

Modafinil has been identified as a possible method of use to detox methamphetamine and cocaine addictions because it has the potential to be a safe drug for addiction. However, the latest research has found no evidence of Modafinil for sale online when treating stimulant addiction.

Here at Castle Craig, we use evidence-based treatments. Therefore, we adopt the Modafinil (Provigil) tapering detox technique by gradually reducing the Provigil dosage over a couple of days, assisting the patient’s body to adjust.

At admission, every patient is assessed carefully by our medical staff and the Consultant Psychiatrist. They carefully consider every patient’s medical history, drug use, and other biological and psychological health factors and suggest the appropriate modafinil detox program in the individual treatment program.

Common withdrawal symptoms of modafinil addiction that those who undergo Modafinil (Provigil, Alertec) detox may experience are insomnia and fatigue, cognitive issues, and depression.

Rehab Treatment for Modafinil (Alertec, Modavigil, Provigil) Addiction

After the patients complete Modafinil (Provigil, Alertec) detox and enter our extended care section. Patients with a history of stimulant addiction typically have hidden mental health problems (social anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, eating disorders, trauma) which we tackle through therapy. If executive burnout, stress, or work-related addictions were the primary reasons when taking Modafinil, they are also addressed.

Our residential treatment program that treats modafinil (Provigil, Alertec) addiction includes a regular schedule of psychotherapy group and individual sessions as well as complementary therapies, education-based lectures, regular meals and exercises, Relapse prevention training, and twelve-step group support.

We help patients manage the effects of addiction and help them understand the root causes of the psychological issues that led to the addiction. We also help clients learn how to manage stress better or learn how to assert themselves and take on work-related responsibilities without resorting to drugs or falling into burnout.

After patients have completed the Modafinil (Provigil, Alertec) rehab treatment plan, we develop a long-term recovery program with patients. We will provide a custom-designed 2-year care plan and ongoing on-site or remote therapy assistance.

We work with the local 12-step NA support groups, and we recommend patients to the assistance of NA specialists, sponsors, and medical professionals who can supervise their recovery.
